Thanksgiving with Kindergarten and Pre-K

Earlier in the week, I went to Joey's class to make turkey cupcakes. The kids always love this. A little messy but always tasty. Joey's turkey looked very similar to last year's turkey (except it was a little neater)

This is Joey's friend... at least the only one he mentions when you ask him who his friends are. He always says Zachary, but he's bad. Just a little ADHDish if you asked me, but not BAD!
Listening to a Thanksgivng story. There are 18 kids in Joey's class. There are 18 kids, boys and 9 girls.
Alex's class had a "feast" with the class across the hall.
40 Pilgrims and Indians!
The songs were great!

Run Turkey, RUN!

Gobble, gobble, gobble

School Halloween Parties

Friday was the school's halloween parties. I am Joey's room mom so I had to be at his class but Brodie wasn't busy so he was able to hang with Alex's class. I was glad. It's tough having two in school now. How do I divide my time?Joey's class painted pumpkinsThen watched as the older kids paraded around.Alex's class freeze danced and did a conga line

Then paraded around outside One of the other moms' from Joey's class made this great melon brain. It looked cool.

The kids had a great time and so did Brodie and I!

Joey's Mr. Apple Head

When we wake up in the morning, I usually like to lay around in bed for a good half an hour and Brodie stays with me. Sometimes the kids hang out the whole time and sometimes they go off and play. This morning was hysterical. We're layin around in bed as usual and Joey brings his Mr. Apple Head that he's just created to show. I ran down to get the camera. He was very proud.A few minutes later, Mr. Apple Head was complete.

Happy Birthday to My Sister, Tracie

My sister has got to be my favorite person in the entire world. My love for her is unconditional. We are merely 10 months apart. Yep, that means for 2 months out of the year, we are the same age which makes us "Irish Twins". As you can see in the next few pictures, my mother used to dress us the same often when were young. Most pictures that I have found we are wearing the same clothes or a variation of the same clothes. We have shared clothes for as long as I can remember. For the longest time we got identical presents. It made Christmas interesting sometimes because one of us always knew what we were getting based on what the other has already opened. Had I been born 'on time' instead of 4 weeks early, we would've been in the same grade in school but I made the cut off. Because of that, we had our own friends but were always friends with each others friends also. Trace- this one's for you. I love the finger up the nose! I think we're about 3 & 4

My sister is the best. She always has and always will be there for me. I know I can count on her for anything and vice versa. I love her dearly. Happy Belated Birthday to you, my sister.

My Little

Most are probably wondering what in the world is a little? If you've never been in or known someone in a fraternity or sorrority, then you wouldn't know. When there are new pledges to a sorrority, they are given a "Big" sister to take them under their wing. It is not a random process. We chose each other and were great friends in college. I have not seen my "Little" in about 10 years. She lives in North Jersey and we just never managed to hang out. Her Mom bought a house in Cape May Point a couple of years ago and she came to visit while she was down. It was so nice to see her. We went to the zoo because she had never been and I forgot my camera. Then we went to the buffet at the Red Oak in Wildwood and then we walked the boardwalk and rode some rides. We caught up and shared stories. She enjoyed the kids and they absolutely loved her. Alex woke up this morning and asked where she was like she was supposed to be here. It was so nice to see her and 10 years is too long. Me and my "Little", Kim
Driving home from Wildwood. We play this game where you choose a color and one the kids throws a ball. Joey threw the ball and it landed on his favorite color - blue. He won a basketball and the guy felt bad for Alex so he gave her the unicorn. It costs us $4 and we play EVERY time we go up.
Kim rode the roller coaster with Alex. Thry loved each other the moment they met. Alex quickly became a leach. Yup Laura, she does it to other people too.
My funny girl
Joey's becoming quite the daredevil... at least he thinks he is. This is him putting his arms up when the buggy bounces. Below is him raising his arms when the motorcycle "jumps". You gotta love him.
