Brodie's Proudest Accomplishment

Brodie has carved pumpkins before so he says it was no big deal. On the other hand, I am very impressed. One thing is for sure, I have never seen him as proud as he was today after carving this pumpkin:

Can you tell what it is?

Here he is proud as a peacock. The answer is....
Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus!

Tiffany's Homecoming Game

Tiffany is my Aunt Lisa's 18 year old daughter. She is a senior this year and the captain of the cheerleading squad at my old Alma Mater, Cumberland Regional High School. Tiffany Has been a competition cheerleader since she was 9 and before that she was in gymnastics since she was around 5. She was always good at it too. Tiffany was also always the beauty of the family.

Alex has wanted to see Tiffany cheer for a while so we drove up to Cumberland's Homecoming game to see her. We had front row seats. Alex was very excited.

Tiffany is the girl in the air on the right. She has always been a "flyer".
Our Family... It was cold outside!
Here's Tiffany in action =) She's the one in front in the middle.

Unfortunately, Cumberland lost 14 to 28 but it was a good game.

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Wow. Time sure does fly when you're having fun. It's hard to believe it's been two years already since we got married. Just think, two years ago, We were chillin on the beach in St Thomas. Where the weather is 85 degrees and beautiful all year round. Here's a photo:
Our Wedding on Emerald Beach in St Thomas. It was more beautiful than I ever could've imagined.
This is the card I made Brodie for our anniversary.
This is a photo from dinner. Brodie took me to the "Ebbott Room" in Cape May. It was very nice and the food was very tasty. A little costly but tasty indeed. For an appetizer we had the seafood combo: Calamari, Tuna tartar, Mussels, and Crab salad. For our entree we shared a 24 oz sirloin steak for two.It was delish! We even had dessert, Creme brulee. The children stayed with Brod's mom. It was a win win situation for us all. =)

Poison Ivy

So Alex needed leaves for school last week. They were talking about changes that occur during the fall. So we go out looking for leaves that are turning colors. We found a few good specimens. A few days later, I develop a large rash on my forehead as well as some smaller patches other places on my face, my right arm, my belly, my right leg, and one other unmentionable place. Apparently, I must have scratched or at least touched these places after coming into contact with the poison ivy. I tried to get a good picture for this post but you can't really see it. It is visible to others though. I get funny looks and comments. Brodie says I look like the Elephant Man. Although it is rather uncomfortable at times, it is nowhere near as bad as the one other time I had it. Thank goodness the unmentionable spot, or any other spot for that matter, is not that bad. It mostly bothered me while sleeping. So now I take Benadryl before bed and I am all good until morning. The good thing is that the children did not get it. THANK GOODNESS. The sucky part is I have no idea how to prevent this happening in the future. I've seen photos of poison ivy and I did not notice any when we were picking leaves.
