Weekend Camping Party

Our annual camping party weekend was last weekend. It was a great time. I have a blog specifically for the camping weekend. It is www.weekendcampingparty.blogspot.com. Most of the pictures from the camping party will be on that site but I wanted to post things specific to my family.

Outside of the party, we had a bit of an exciting weekend. Before the party on Saturday, A little boy almost drowned when Brodie's cousin Tracey Lee did CPR and saved the boys life. I didn't see it thank goodness but my children were at the pool at the time and Alex was very upset. She clung to me for the next half hour. I took no photos friday night so, I start with the party on Saturday.

We also had some excitement on Sunday as well. Brodie's brother Ed met some drunk guy and brought him back to our site. We all met him and thought he was a little odd. Anyway, they hang out with him at the lake and he smacks Tracey Lee's behind. Eddie (Brodie's nephew) shoves him and says (What the ...) and the guy punches him in the eye. Eddie bit his tongue so he ended up with a black eye and a bloody mouth. The guard broke it up and they went their seperate ways. Then, some of Brodie's cousins went after the guy. One of them got punched in the eye too but he needed stitches. The guy went to jail. Too much excitement for one weekend.

The Poconos

We have a timeshare in the Poconos at Shawnee. Our weeks are in the summer. Last time we went up, there was a mix up and we ended up with a comp week to use whenever we wanted. What better time than winter! Laura (Brodie's goddaughter and honarary family member) came with us too. We relaxed, played games, put together puzzles, and best of all, went SNOWTUBING! It was COLD!
